Early Start Program


All Interstudy students studying for the Fall or Full Year are invited to participate in the Early Start program. If you want to participate in the Early Start program, indicate this on the Interstudy application.

The Early Start Semester programme is the ideal means of gaining an introduction to Irish Studies through a carefully guided approach to Ireland’s history, culture, civilisation and environment.  The Early Start Semester will give the visiting student an insight into the nature of Ireland, past and present, and the manner in which the modern and the ancient may be examined side by side in an integrated programme.   


Academic Calendar


The University College Cork academic year is divided into two teaching periods. Interstudy students may enroll for the Early Start Semester, Fall Only, for the Full-Year, or for the Spring Semester.
